What is Thai Massage?

Thai Yoga Massage is also know as 'the lazy mans yoga'.  It is a full body massage that combines acupressure and assisted yoga stretches. Thai Yoga massage works the pressure points in the body's energy pathways which are called Sen lines.

Thai massage has strong spiritual components based on Buddhism.  The goal is to move your internal energy throughout your organs and body systems to achieve wellness.

How long does a Thai massage take?

Traditionally a Thai massage takes 2hrs.  However it has been adapted in the western world to 60 minutes or a happy medium of 90 minutes treatment. 

What are the benefits?

What should I wear?

It is best to where comfortable, loose fitting clothes that you can move easily in.  You can wear socks or choose not to.

Can anyone have Thai massage?

Yes, it is generally safe for everyone, but consult your doctor if you have underlining health issues or if you are pregnant.

What should I expect during a treatment?

Thai massage combines assisted stretches, acupressure & rhythmic movements.  The therapist uses their hands feet, elbows and knees to apply pressure & stretch your body.  It is a blend of Yoga and massage.

Does it hurt?

A Thai massage can sometimes feel a little painful, as deep pressure is applied but I will check in with you and make sure the pressure is comfortable.

How often should I have a Thai massage

Weekly, for chronic muscle tension & stress or monthly for overall wellbeing.
